How to use your eSIM, step by step

Install it in minutes from your phone. You just need the Intermundial App, and you're all set!

Download the Intermundial App and install your eSIM before traveling

Access your purchased insurance within the app.
Follow the installation instructions from the app, email, and WhatsApp.

Set up data at your destination

Go to Settings > Mobile Data and select the eSIM as your primary line.
Don't forget to disable roaming on your physical SIM and enable it on the eSIM.

Connect

Restart your device to apply the changes.
Check the connection by opening an app or browser.
Your eSIM is now ready to use.

How long do I have to activate the eSIM once I receive it?

You have up to 180 days from receiving the eSIM to activate it. There's no need to install it immediately: you can do so at any time within that period, when your trip begins, or just before you leave.

Can I keep my current phone number with the eSIM?

Yes, using an eSIM does not affect your current phone number. You can continue to use your primary number for calls and texts while enjoying your mobile data.

What happens if I use up the included free mobile data?

When you use up your free mobile data, you will simply lose connection. You will not be charged automatically. You will receive a notification on your phone informing you that you have reached the limit. If you wish, you can upgrade your plan and purchase more data, but only if you decide to. Nothing is activated by default, and no costs are incurred without your confirmation.
