How to use eSIM, step by step

Install it in a few minutes from your cell phone. You only need to have the Intermundial App, and that's it!

Download the Intermundial App and install your eSIM before you travel

  • Access your contracted insurance within the app.
  • Follow the installation instructions from the app and via email and WhatsApp.

Configure the data at destination

  • Go to Settings > Mobile Data and select eSIM as the main line.
  • Don't forget to deactivate roaming on your physical SIM and activate it on the eSIM.

Log on to

  • Restart your device to apply the changes.
  • Check the connection by opening an app or browser.
  • Your eSIM is now ready to use.

Does my device support eSIM?

How long do I have to activate the eSIM once I receive it?

You have up to 180 days from the time you receive the eSIM to activate it.You don't need to install it right away: you can do it at any time within that period, when your trip starts or just before you leave.

Can I keep my current phone number with the eSIM?

Yes, using an eSIM does not affect your current phone number. You can continue to use your main number for calls and text messages while enjoying your mobile data.

What happens if I use up the included free mobile data?

Once you've used up your free mobile data, you'll simply lose your connection. You won't be charged automatically. You'll receive a notification on your phone letting you know that you've reached your limit. If you want, you can upgrade your plan and purchase more data, but only if you choose to do so. Nothing is activated by default, and no charges will be incurred without your confirmation.
